history

In the jungles of Africa, a baby was born. It was raised as one of the animals--apes took it under their wing (er, rather, hairy arm), toucans helped it communicate with all the jungle creatures he ruled, and the elephant that was really more of a dog than an elephant played with it. By the time he grew up and became king of the jungle, he was notorious for always swinging into trees, and he--oh, wait a second. Sorry, wrong story.

Gaspare was indeed born in Africa, but not in a jungle--simply in a normal ole' hospital. His parents--an Italian woman who hadn't heeded her doctor's warning about flying during the last couple of months of her pregnancy and an Italian man who was smart enough to shut up and let his pregnant wife do whatever the hell she wanted, lest he get hurt--named him after a man his mother had loved in her youth, Gaspard Dupont. The three of them returned to Italy as soon as Gaspare was old enough to fly.

Violetta Moretti, Gaspare's mother, had once been an aspiring actress. However, she had had little success in her chosen career. Originally, she had thought her son just as incapable of getting famous--her husband, Luigi Moretti (who, by the way, was not a plumber and did not have a brother named Mario), was the one who had found Gaspare an agent. Said agent, known as Paulo Galante, helped book Gaspare his first job. This happened when the boy was about 18.

Gaspare was an instant hit, as he knew he would be. He won the support and affection of his mother, who poured all her repressed dreams of fame and the easy life on him. Paulo hooked him up with better and better roles, and his popularity skyrocketed. At some point, Paulo made deals with the agent of a young opera singer by the name of Noemi Cavallo. He was to "date" her, in order to further both of their public images. He shrugged and okayed the idea, and has been pretending to date her ever since. Horsie, as he calls her, wasn't exactly thrilled at first by the prospect, but they're (kind of) friends now.

He had been with her when the outbreak struck--they had been at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. They were evacuated out of the area and stored in a base in California until Rome was rescued--at which time they hightailed it back home.

IN-GAME EVENTS

September 5, 2009 — Started posting on the community.

January 31, 2009 — Switched powers with Wei Lu and gained his ability of pyrokinesis. And nearly burnt his house down with it.

February 1, 2009 — His powers returned to normal.

March 22, 2010 — Kept to himself while a swarm of infected attacked Rome.

April 19, 2010 — Drank some of that evil toxic water, causing him to become...mature, for once. This, combined with Noemi's new demureness, led to the two of them starting over on their relationship.

May 10, 2010 — Participated in the soccer event at the Lee Hyori Charity Games. He got 2^nd place.

July 20, 2010 — Defended himself (and, he claims, Horsie, but he could very well be lying to seem more macho and manly) when the zombies launched an offensive.

August 10-11, 2010 — Defended himself when the hail and fire rain hit Rome.

September 5, 2010 — Cupid made him fall in love with Noemi for the day. He even refrained from referring to her as Horsie~

October 13, 2010 — Found the cursed monkey's paw.

October 16, 2010 — As a test-run of sorts, used the monkey's paw to wish for a sandwich - which wound up being made of his manager's pet. Gross.

October 24, 2010 — Attended the Beautiful World Concert, which he'd done some promos for.

October 30, 2010 — Opted to give the paw another try and wished for a million dollars, and he received that amount as compensation after his father was badly injured in an accident. He then threw it away, at the request of Jasmine Zha.

October 31, 2010 — Shit went down, and the paw he threw away came to life and returned to try to strangle him, but he blew it up in time.

November 6, 2010 — Attended Vivian and Vanness's Halloween party, despite not really knowing anyone, just because it was a party.

personality

More often than not, Gaspare comes across as being quite conceited. His fame has indeed gone to his head; he knows that he's awesome, and he will never let you forget it. He uses his gifts--his good looks, his natural charisma, and his easygoing nature--to his advantage in any situation. Whether in a one-sided argument with his manager or trying to stay on Noemi's good side, he uses his natural talents to their full potential.

His habit of taking things in stride annoys his manager more often than not--to be honest, that's probably why Gaspare goes out of his way to seem nonplussed in even the more dire and distressing of situations. He's the kind of guy who will give everyone a nickname, too--an annoying, almost cutesy one, usually without asking your permission. And if you tell him you don't like the nickname? Too damn bad. He's using it anyways. In fact, if you hate the nickname, keep your mouth shut. If you let him know you dislike it, he'll probably refer to you by it all the time just to piss you off.

Drinking Buddy! — They drank together in Rome and were loud and kind of obnoxious together. Obviously, this makes him good in Gaspare's book. He still needs a proper nickname, though...
Horsie — NPC. "Girlfriend." Alive and well in Rome; she's staying with him.
Jeaki — They were idiots together at the Charity Games and played soccer. He was a chill guy.

Amalia Isabella Bianchi — NPC. Her mother was a fashion photographer who shot him once, and she then invited him over. They encountered each other then--although, to be honest, he doesn't remember her all that well.
Haruki Kobayashi — Soccer player. Gaspare's a fan, and he's met him once or twice. Seems like a nice enough fellow.
Jazz — Fellow model. Hot. Gaspare doesn't mind interacting with her~ ;D
Lani — Actress. Another one who's easy on the eyes, so she's good in his book.
Niav — NPC. Neighbor. She seems nice enough, so Gaspare doesn't mind her. Plus, she's not bad on the eyes.
Paulo Galante — Manager. Alive and well in Rome.
Serafina — NPC. Neighbor. She's not too bad. She insults him, but he never takes it seriously--who would ever really think that about him? She must be joking. He's too damn awesome to be ridiculed.
Shira — NPC. A model he met briefly while she was in Italy. She's okay, in his book.
Valeria Antonelli — NPC. Noemi's friend. He doesn't mind her or anything, so.
